We are Blood was a shameless cash grab filmed by Ty Evans and executive producer Circe Wallace. I don’t think any of the skaters got paid while upper management coined a salary. Mountain Dew did pay for some of their riders to go China and Dubai. I missed out on filming more for this project because of 2 ACL injuries. I lost a couple years of skating due to injury. When I recovered fully I did the darkslide on the handrail. I was trying to think of something creative to highlight my skating and the fs darkslide came up as a joke. I think my friend Peyton offered me $50 or $100 if I could darkslide a handrail. Not sure if I ever collected but Peyton’s probably one of the few people who have actually paid me to skate.
